Message from the Dean

Welcome to School of Political Science and Public Administration! I hope that you enjoy your study tour through our information knowledge based research and teaching at SPSPA, which has comprehensively evolved from UESTC being “a cradle for Chinese Electronic Information Industry”.
Led by our motto “Seeking equity for morality,Seeking integrity for righteousness” and our core values of striving for high quality teaching and research in Public Administration and Political Science, we take great pride in the high quality of our two fundamental missions: Teaching and research. Our faculty are engaged in exciting, ground-breaking research and scholarship and our students are developed into their full potential by engaging in cutting edge research projects that capture their imagination and open new worlds for them to explore.
The teaching experience in SPSPA is highly personalized for both faculty and students. The faculty use imaginative and innovative approaches that not only communicate critical information, but also make the subject matter come alive for the students. We also offer students the opportunity in the elite-oriented classes, unique courses of study globally. There is also an exciting opportunity offered to students with intellectually uplifting in participating International Conference on Public Administration hosted by SPSPA since 2005. All these distinct opportunities allow students to challenge their preconceived notions about different cultures and ideas, to push themselves outside their comfort zone, and to become genuine citizens of the world.
As Dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration, I am privileged to enjoy academic and lively interactions with our students and faculty on a daily basis. SPSPA experience is demanding, but it is eminently rewarding. Being part of SPSPA experience can allow you through harmonious development of the physical, the mental and the spiritual powers which is what true education is all about.
